donate items that are in good condition. This helps
families to maintain a sense of dignity as we help them start anew,
and it allows our program to run cost-efficiently and effectively.
Below
our wish list is a list of items that the families we serve do not request
and thus we cannot accept.
We

Items
needed include the
following:
- Beds
(mattresses, box springs, & frames) - without
rips or stains, and frames with all the pieces.
- Dressers
- Kitchen tables and chairs - families prefer sets
- Baby items - strollers, highchairs, changing tables, cribs, car seats, infant and toddler clothing
- End tables and coffee tables
- Televisions -
with remote, and color and cable-ready are best
- Sofas
and living room chairs
- Lamps - with shade
- Kitchen
items - sets of dishes, silverware, pots & pans,
toasters and microwaves
- Fans & Air
Conditioning Units
- New
cleaning products - detergent,
dish soap, household cleaners
- Vacuums,
mops, and brooms
- Towels - all
sizes are needed
- Bedding -
comforters, blankets, sheet sets, pillows
- Plastic
comforter bags -
with the zippers, to help us keep the bedding clean
- Rope -
our clients often need rope to tie items down for transport
- Sofa
Slipcovers -
without stains or rips, these are useful in beautifying more worn
items
- Baskets -
The diameter of a basketball or larger, please.

- Clothing above toddler sizes
- Large
appliances - stoves,
ovens, refrigerators, washers & dryers
- Headboards
or frames without accompanying mattress and boxspring
- Mechanical
or mechanized beds
- Entertainment
centers
- Hutches, china cabinets, and sideboards
- Large rugs and carpet remnants
- Office
furniture and bookcases
- Armoires
- Books
- Luggage
- Exercise equipment
- Children's
items that no longer meet safety standards
- Medical
supplies
- Knick-knacks
or figurines
- Single
glasses, mugs, or plates (families
prefer sets)
- Highly
specialized kitchen items (e.g.,
jello molds or grilling accessories)
- Cloth
napkins
- Curtains,
blinds, drapes, or curtain rods
- Food
- Cassettes,
tape players, records, or VCR tapes
- Any
items in need of repair, missing parts, with rips or stains, or generally in poor
condition
