Public Housing Wellness Program

The Public Housing Wellness Program provides individuals living in public housing residences with wellness programming, social activities, and basic need items. A Wider Circle works with resident councils and the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) to reach seniors, individuals who are disabled, and families.

Additional aspects of this program include:

• Access to health & wellness information
  
  
• Wellness workshops covering stress & anger management, nutrition, substance abuse, and more
  
  
• Bingo, Jeopardy!, and arts & crafts programs
  
  
• Provision of basic need items
  
  
• Enhancement of DCHA properties with gardening and other beautification projects
  
  
• Monthly wellness brunches
