Honoring "individuals who have made incredible contributions to their communities."

A Wider Circle is excited to announce that our Founder and Executive Director, Mark Bergel, was recently named one of thirty All-Stars Among Us by People Magazine and Major League Baseball. This award serves as a testimony to Mark’s passion and commitment toward ending poverty.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who voted - this award would not have been possible without you.

As we seek to expand our services, we hope this award will bring more awareness to our work and, in turn, enable us to serve many more children and families struggling to lift themselves out of poverty.

The Ceremony: On July 13 at 8 p.m., Mark was honored with the other winners at the start of the 2010 MLB All-Star Game.
